The vaccine contains inactivated foot and mouth disease virus. Amount of virus for cattle dose is at least 5 pg for 0 type and 2,2 pg for other types. Inactivated foot and mouth disease virus is adsorbed with 0,9 % aluminum hydroxide (AI(OH)3) in colloid form and 0,06 % of saponin and 0,01 % of thiomersal (mertiolate) one added. Foot and mouth disease virus serotypes are described on the label.
Indication and Contraindications:
The vaccine is provided protection against foot and mouth disease caused by FMD virus types.
Do not vaccinate sick and less than one month old animals.
Administration and Dosage:
The vaccine is applied to 5 cm in front of breast bone, near neck, median area for sheep and goat and 15 cm ahead of breast bone, double-chin, side neck for cattle by subcutaneous injection.
Dose : Cattle - buffalo................................. 3 cc
Sheep -goat................................... 1 cc

It can cause a swelling at the inoculation place and fever is a normal reaction due to saponin which contains. Temporary reduction can be seen in milk yield. Allergic reaction formation is very rare in inoculation place.

The vaccine is stored in at 2 °C to 8 °C (refrigerator conditions). Do not freeze and keep from light and heat.
The vaccine is packed in brown glass bottles of 20, 50 and 100 ml volume. Destruction Conditions:
The vaccine is autoclaved without open the contents at 121 °C for 60 minutes and discard to cesspool.
